The
diversity of the natural environment, altitude,
soil types, orientation of the slopes and
isolation of certain spots has generated
a wide variety of living conditions allowing
many different animal species to co-exist.
Chamois, mouflon
and discreet woodchuck, jewels of the highland
fauna, venture from rocky scree to grassland
and whortleberry moors. Those who are highly
respectful of the site’s integrity
will no doubt be able to make them out,
as well as numerous other species including
spectacular avifauna. |
